    well... at least... as it was in the 60's and 70's. I left in '79 and it has changed some since then though not that radically I guess.

    My Mom grew up there before me and my grandparents moved there in 1920.

    I have a letter in which Grandpa talks about getting his father (they lived in a farm in Indiana) a ticket to ride on the Ferris Wheel as a gift. I've always assumed it was this one but I'll have to go look at the letter again and the date. The timing doesn't seem right to me as I sit here. But it was definitely a trip to Chicago... maybe it was his Dad telling him about riding on the wheel. Maybe that's it. I'll have to go find that letter now and figure it out.
