Branstad is NOT OK. He is just another R tool.

The state of Iowa is sitting on a nearly $1 billion budget surplus, and rather than reinvest in vital public services like education, environmental protections, health-care, and workers rights, Governor Branstad wants to use the extra money to cut taxes for Iowa’s biggest corporations and richest citizens.
Governor Terry Branstad begrudges the working poor a little extra money and wants to cut total compensation for thousands of state employees, whom he considers overpaid. But where his favorite appointees are concerned, Branstad uses bonuses or a housing allowance to evade salary caps on senior positions in state government.
Friday before holiday weekend news dump, part 2: Governor Terry Branstad line-item vetoed a $500,000 appropriation for the Iowa Food Bank Association. It was a surprisingly heartless play by the politician who said in September 2011, "If we want to be the healthiest state in the nation, we have to confront the issue of hunger in our communities."
He wasn't OK during his first reign and he isn't OK now. And Steve King is an abomination, who only does a good job for Steve King.
Indeed, I cannot remember one person who was denied re-election
p.s. Obviously incumbent Governor Chet Culver was not reelected and Incumbent Rep. Leonard Boswell wasn't re-elected this time around.
