    Gives me good memories.  We still had 727s at our airline when I started, though many of the flight attendants didn't like flying on them (antiquated galley equipment, horribly noisy rear jumpseats, etc.). As a newbie F/A (with a few hrs. of solo Cessna 172 experience, which I mention only to say that I appreciate both the front end and the cabin aspects of an aircraft), I got plenty of assignments on them.

    At the start of a 727 trip I mentioned to the guys up front that I loved flying on a plane with 3 engines. The captain retorted, yup, with 3 engines in the back, you know that there are 3 bubbas up front! (I was based at IAH).
