    each state by constituents if these laws are put up for a vote to be overturned in 2014 and 2016?

    •  Depends on the state. Some states have (0+ / 0-)

      what Massachustees calls "initiative petition".  Others have "popular veto" or some such name.  Still others have nothing at all.

      •  However, the Constitution gives sole power (0+ / 0-)

        for choosing the method of Electors to the Legislature which means it is not subject to a referendum or popular veto unless explicitly permitted (and it doesn't matter what the state Constitution says).
