  •   Climate Change upon us (0+ / 0-)

Scientists who have studied climate change for three decades are now even themselves surprised by the exponential acceleration of climate change. They now see the massive storms being produced by only marginally warmer oceans. Co2 saturation of oceans,( they can only absorb so much Co2) and they are becoming increasingly acidic killing of coral reefs around the world. Glaciers dissappearing everywhere in the Northern Hemisphere and most all of them in the Southern hemisphere. La Paz Bolivia is only a decade or two away from zero fresh water, totally dependent on glacial runoff. With India & Pakistan soon to discover Himalayan runoff will be drying up as well.
Mankind may very well have passed the point of no return in relation to climate change and runaway climate change that offers nothing but devestation for coastal cities & populations as these massive new breed of storms come into play on a regular basis. Not once a century but several every year. Times they are a changin, and man is not, so he may not fare too well.

The oceans aren't saturated with CO2. They continue to become more acidic by taking up about 1/3 of the CO2 that is emitted to the atmosphere.

look for my eSci diary series Thursday evening.
