    I'm rather disappointed you cite the Guardian's story on this. The piece is extremely poorly done and targets vegetarians/vegans in a bizarrely slanted way. I'm not suggesting there aren't real issues around the effects of our food habits, but ask yourself why the author goes after vegetarians bizarrely aggressively for things like eating tofu and soy, which she acts as if are never available from local sources, while not mentioning that the majority of low quality, rain-forest grown soy is used for things like... animal feed for meat animals.
