  •  Edwards was very right and compelling on that (3+ / 0-)

but he just couldn't live up to the image he put out of himself.  I liked, trusted and supported Edwards and was very angry when he betrayed that trust.

he wasn't a favorite but I really liked him.  Hell, I liked all of the Dem nominees for one reason or another.  So I kinda feel your pain on his betrayal.  It was like, he built himself up to be a god come down from Mt Olympus when everything crumbled and you were just like, I know he's human and all but WOW.  Some of his stuff was just pure ugly.

Even though I felt he was a little slick even back when he was running with Kerry, I saw that he was the only one addressing poverty and not nattering on about the "middle class," whatever that is anymore. I went with a group that did a walk with him through an inner city neighborhood ravaged by foreclosure (thanks to someone I ran into here at DailyKos who was working  for his campaign) and was so impressed by how he listened and talked to the residents there.

I stuck with him until the day he dropped out. After seeing the headline on my computer, I clicked over to email and contacted someone I knew involved in the Obama campaign to ask how I could also get involved.

Even as a middle-aged professional white woman, I was never a Hillary supporter. I didn't think she was awful but god, Mark Penn just really infuriated me.

      Jon Husted is a dick.
