  •  So what else is new? (8+ / 0-)

Conspiracy theories are more comfortaing to some than the thought that a random lunatic can kill a President, Senator or Civil Rights leader.

Also more comforting, for reasons I cannot fathom, that a local conspiracy would knock down the twin towers instead of a conspiracy of enemies half a world away.

Is it so surprising that something as horrible as Sandy Hook would fall prey to conspiracy "theorists"?

Hardly worth wasting any energy on -- except for one thing: some of them have been pretty vile to people in Newtown who were involved, one way or the other, in the events surrounding the shootings, including the parents of murdered children.

    No decency, those folks.

I wonder if these conspiracy theorists ever thought about how they would feel if the Sandy Hook kids were their own instead. I wonder if they're capable of empathy.

to disprove a conspiracy point... The only thing that came up for it were conspiracy websites. I was stunned.

of conspiracy theorists makes them want to share the "news" of all those underhanded goings-on, not to mention selling books and speaking engagements to their brethren.

I believe their internet representation is much greater than their representation in the population.

I can't prove that, of course, thanks to a conspiracy by Google and Bing and everybody else to hide the facts about conspiracies...
