This isn't a competition and shouldn't be framed as such. But since it already has been in comments here, I checked the HHS web page for the Children's Bureau. The perpetrator breakdown on Child Abuse (which includes sexual abuse) is:

    Fathers alone 19%
    Mothers alone 36.8%
    Father and other .9%
    Mother and other 5.7%
    Mother and Father 18.9%

Sexual abuse accounts for 9.1% of what the Children's Bureau defines as child abuse.

This doesn't mean women or mothers are worse than men or fathers. Women spend more time with kids, many are doing the job on their own. But abuse by women isn't rare. And men aren't 99.9% of abusers, as stated previously.

I never liked you and I always will.

    •  I had meant sexual abuse, but yes. (3+ / 0-)

For overall abuse, women would be adjudicated at least as commonly as men, especially as there are more single mother than single father families. I had meant, though, sexual molestation. It is rarer for a mother/daughter sexual abuse to occur than a father/daughter, and "virtue" isn't involved in any case.

Anyone who wants to say that this sex or that sex is inherently violent or placid is foolish. Sex isn't gender, and we're not talking about sexes: we're talking about pathologies.

People complain about dirt, but I'd like to see them make some.

      a lot of people know.

Unfortunately, too many people know EXACTLY how common it is & how horrible life is under those circumstances.

Unfortunately also, the term 'unspeakable' has made revealing the truth impossible until fairly recently, &  then 'incredible' & 'unthinkable' have to be overcome, too.

For too many people, childhood is something they have to survive before adulthood.

You can be sure the abuse of the daughter started well before now - it's probably been her whole life. Mom Biron needs to rot somewhere for the rest of her life.

Something that doesn't make good sense, makes bad sense. That means someone is being deliberately hurtful & selfish. Look for motives behind actions & words.
