    Many states have specific laws about employment threats related to elections. It's not a question of discrimination, it's retaliation for political participation. In fact, in some states it could fit into the public policy exception to the employment at will doctrine (i.e. even in an at-will state you can't fire someone for reporting criminal activity or other conduct that benefits society).

      I get where you are coming from, and I agree with it.  But outside of being a hard case to win, the more direct social action is to withhold all business on them.

      I'm reminded of the Jersey Rat that would picket sites that hired non-union workers.   We need that kind of "picketing".   At least for a bit.  Let him feel the direct pain in his business pocketbook.
