    For one thing, Sam Wang at Princeton Election Consortium and Drew Linz at votamatic.org did better jobs calling the 2012 results. For another, Silver is a total "on the other hand" hack, giving for example climate deniers equal footing with climate scientists - so I've read about his book, which I will not read for that among other criticisms.

    It's ironic that his book supposedly aims to differentiate signal from noise, when all of the impartial analysis I've seen of Nate's work (including from Sam Wang) has him regularly injecting unnecessary noise into his own models and analyses.
