    That's certainly pre-trusses construction, too, so a roof deck is essential to prevent racking; there's no way foam board would have kept that roof rigid for even a week in normal weather! As long as the 2" planks are not rotted, there's no reason to replace or cover them with plywood, IMO.

    That's, in some ways, a better roof than many sheathed roofs, mainly the ones where they cheaped out and used (shudder) WAFER BOARD instead of plywood. I've even seen (really!) PARTICLE board used under shingles-how foolish!
