He explicitly calls out the 2nd-A crowd in the first two sentences of the rant.

To put the torture behind us is, inevitably, to put it in front of us.

I suggest you read more carefully. I write "misleading title." What does the title have to do with the first two sentences? The "title" is "Bill Maher on what the Second Amendment crowd is missing" New Rules was not about what any Second Amendment crowd is missing but about what everyone is missing about the rest of the Amendments.

Now the title of the linked story is not the least bit misleading ‘It’s not your Second Amendment rights that are under attack — it’s all the other ones’ But "Second Amendment Crowd" sounds a lot like the NRA while "New Rules" was about the civil rights that don't have lobbyist making and sharing money with the elected, those civil rights that have been not only been ignored, but actively being taken away by both Parties.

This diary is a shallow abbreviation of what Bill Marher said last night but then it all so shallow, isn't it? I mean if you can't get past the second sentence, how the hell will you ever get past the Second Amendment?

If someone needs his closing  to be about the the first two sentences then fine but last night's closing was not as shallow as go find an enemy in the NRA and all about the valid points that politicians, including Democrats and those members of the Democratic Leadership Fan Club won't discuss.

I didn't realize you were incapable of processing standard English.

Since it turns out that you are, I won't waste any more of my time or yours.
