...I think I carefully enough distinguished between degree and kind in my analogies. If you think I didn't maybe you should work on your reading comprehension.

It is insane (i.e., fixed denial of reality), maybe only temporary we can hope, for you to liken me to the John Birch Society. I didn't write about paranoid DELUSION which was the pabulum of the John Birch Society. I wrote about real FACTUAL tragedies in women's lives that are a many times daily occurence in this country right now as the result of the efforts of a sociopolitical movement, the so-called "pro-life" movement - a movement that does indeed resemble the JBS.

Whew! Talk about gratuitous "name-calling!" I'd have quite a challenge if I attempted to match you in your comparing me to the JBS!

It really seems that the Republican Party has become the descendent of the JBS.

No matter how fervently you believe that you know what you merely believe, you merely believe it, and you might be wrong - very wrong.

    •  After your willful misreading of what I wrote (0+ / 0-)

i.e. ("in tone"), you continue to do so by implying anything I said related to "women's lives". Rather, I stipulated your observations are your own.

As to this: "I didn't write about paranoid DELUSION...", that is exactly what I was contending as your characterization of your opponents.

      •  Good Grief! "DELUSIONAL?" (0+ / 0-)

IF you had stood in my shoes from serving in ER's as the constant stream of very real women very really seriously injured by illegal abortion flooded through in the years before Roe to the very real death threats, having my very real clinic very really burned to the ground, being accosted by very real fanatics picketing my home with bull-horns and threats and defamatory signs, a thwarted attempt to torch my house, two men arrested for waiting for me with very real rifles to exit a clinic, pamphlets and "wanted dead or alive" posters with my picture circulated far and wide, mourning the deaths by assassination of colleagues and friends, elbowing my way through masses of rabid screaming protestors at clinics, ...etc., etc., etc....(stopping with this only partial listing)...IF you had experienced anything like that for almost 30 years, as I have, I wonder how sweet your "tone" would be and whether you would label it "paranoid delusion" to merely acknowledge the REALITY of what I and all of us involved in providing abortion care have been subjected to.

My observation are my own, and they are very REAL.

        I just don't "get" you.

No matter how fervently you believe that you know what you merely believe, you merely believe it, and you might be wrong - very wrong.
