    I always wondered why they used to push the vaccine only for over-65s -- yes, those are the people most at risk of dying, but they're not the disease carriers, the little kids are (and probably my college students). Pushing it for everyone makes much more sense. Even if vaccine was scarce, I'd put the little kids as high priority because their hygiene is generally awful so they spread germs everywhere.

      changed and they are pushing it for kids this year. They are much more important for herd immunity than old folks.

      On a related note, one of our local hospitals has banned kids as visitors for the same reason.

        everyone over the age of 6 months is now recommended to get the vaccine unless they have contraindications.
