    It was too difficult for me, but then I was only 8.  Also there was lots of easier stuff such as Groff Conklin anthologies full of sexy redheads who arrived in courtrooms just in time to turn heat rays on crooked prosecutors, guys who shrank into infinity,  turtles from other galaxies, etc.

      ... Because I mistakenly assumed that Skylark III was the third book in the series and so left it home when my family went on a camping trip.  It was extremely confusing because there was a heckuva lot of backstory I was missing.
