    ...it's basically a very similar fight (i.e.: standing up against very entrenched, status quo interests). There are differences with regard to income inequality (versus gun control), however, especially, as Stiglitz points out, with the inconvenient truth being that actions by our own Party have made the situation more severe than it was before the President took office. (An argument could be made that the President didn't do enough up until Newtown, waiting for public sentiment to make action feasible. But, IMHO, that's a copout. As the old saying goes: "Where there's a will..." etc., etc.)
