    I don't want them expanded, I want them eliminated.    A 4 year college degree should be free to every academically qualified individual.    For those that aren't, two years free in a community college should prepare them for a transfer to university.

    I am outraged that these loans cannot be discharged in bankruptcy.   Relieves the banks of all responsibility and indentures our kids for generations.   Instead of chasing the ivies, the kids should be looking for ways to get the cheapest post secondary education they can.

    What we need is a Democrat in the White House.

      our economy. When I was in college, Ohio State, it was $1,000 a year. My dad, with 7 children, a supervisor for a paint company, could afford to pay my tuition, books and expenses for five years because he was so thrifty, with NO loans.
