      pretty simple, actually.

And you don't HAVE to accept that other people choose to own guns. You can resist that idea with all your might.

But the reality is, a lot of people own a lot of guns. And they are spending a pretty penny, and a lot of time and effort, in doing so.

    •  If my "choice" is not to be shot ? (2+ / 0-)

If my "choice" is to have fewer dead and wounded daily ?
If my "choice" is to do what a few other modern intelligent countries have done already ?

      •  Those first two (0+ / 0-)

would be everybody's choice in a perfect world.

"Few" - eh, we're a representative republic - and the consensus so far is that the people have a right to keep and bear arms.

      •  then you should direct your efforts (4+ / 0-)

to regulations and controls that will accomplish that, rather than attempting to polarize and divide and accomplish little or nothing.

The overwhelming majority of gun deaths are not a result of the rifles commonly owned in America (even including those owned by "gun nuts") but most often focused on in the current "ban em all" frenzy.  Why do so many people here seem more concerned with Farmer Jones' deer rifle than the Glocks proliferating on the city streets?

Why are you asking me this ?
