    That's EXACTLY what I'm trying to get away from.

    I would NOT support a fire rate standard so egregious that it would restrict most standard hunting rifles.

      Check out my diary, link posted below.  It think we have similar thoughts, and whatever else, I thought hard about how to distinguish assault weapon weapon from hunting rifle.

        Like some bullets and/or guns with much greater punch?  And ammo that pierces the protection used by law enforcement?

        exceeding the set (r/t) with no modifications to the weapon, then it would be restricted to licensed users on personal property. Doesn't matter if it's semi-auto or manual. Heck, you could even get your automatics back if they fell below (r/t) =)
