    progressive values via the inaugural address is a gain in and of itself, even without any further action.  It frames the debate and helps to mold public opinion in a positive direction.

    The willingness to roll up one's sleeves and actually fight to implement these values, however, both costs more and is of exponentially greater value.  Let's see how well the President walks the walk before raining too many accolades upon him.

      can only further depart from the reality that can be achieved, which makes one look weak.

      To the extent the goal is impeded, Obama at the least must strongly use the bully pulpit and only compromise when absolutely compelled to do so and state it is temporary and there will be a better future when it happens.
