  •  It is 18 degrees here right now. (10+ / 0-)

Looks as if we are the beneficiaries of an Alberta Clipper.  Clear skies so no clouds to hold the heat close to the ground.  It was windy yesterday, and my hair...what there is of it...looked as if I combed it with a blender.  Supposed to warm up to a balmy 26 this afternoon, then get really cold again.  This has been a strange winter.  Way warmer than normal, with almost no snow.  Very strange weather patterns.

I was truly saddened to hear of the death of Translator (Dr. David Smith) last night.  He was a troubled soul, who had mood swings.  I talked to him frequently.  He was a hopeless romantic who found comfort and companionship on this blog.  I hate to say it, but I saw this coming for some times.  I am an expert on suicide and suicidal behavior, but when it finally happens, it comes as a shock.  I understand he shot himself, but he knew more ways to kill somebody or something than anyone I know.  Toxic substances was his specialty as a biochemist.  He took the quickest and most painless way out.  We are  lesser for his loss, but he finally found the peace that was so elusive for him.
