I was reading about this group and their plans when it hit the internet last week.  There are so many things that fit my preconceived notions about how crazy these people are.

They feel the need to do this "because...freedom", etc. but you don't have the "right" to not wear a gun at all times if you don't want to.  You don't have the "right" to live in any type of house that you want to (you have to use their building plans though you have a couple of models to choose from and can decorate the inside any way you want).  You don't have the "right" to not be a part of the militia.  And that's just the things they admit right up front they are going to control.  Who wants to bet there are a whole lot more things you aren't allowed to do, or be, once it actually gets going.

For people who are all about being "prepared" they are taking applications without the least bit of preparation for basics like roads, sewage systems, etc.  They don't even know if they are going to be able to buy enough land.  Of course, they are all about planning their Friday night game dates.  Just not about planning for the realities of building a walled city (they claim it will be the only walled castle in the US)

Another best part is that other than their weapons making facility, their other form of income for residents is going to tourism.  They have special plans for a tourist section and a weapons museum.  I'm sure they will get some tourists but it just seems sort of hilarious to me.  Instead of wearing Williamsburg colonial gear I guess they will have camo-clothed guides giving real life exhibitions on how to purify water and make your own "bug-out bag".

Finally the best part is, if it isn't a scam, and if they aren't incompetent planners, it will be a great place to have all  of those people in one place where the rest of us won't have to deal with them.  I just hope we can convince them not to register to vote so the gubmint won't know where they are.
