  •  Fourth Option - Neo-Nazi Disneyland (6+ / 0-)

I suspect these folks of being neo-Nazis. Consider the definition of "citadel" offered here.
    http://www.iiicitadel.com/...

    "Citadel Definition
*A fortress in a commanding position in or near a city.
*Any strongly fortified building or place of safety; refuge
*A gated and walled community in the style of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. (http://en.wikipedia.org/...)"
Rothenburg ob der Tauber?  So of all the fine places in the world to emulate, they just happen to select the "ideal German village" of the Nazis.

Their own wikipedia link tells us that Rothenburg ob der Tauber

"...held a special significance for Nazi ideologists. For them, it was the epitome of the German 'Home Town', representing all that was quintessentially German. Throughout the 1930s the Nazi organisation "KDF" ("Kraft durch Freude") Strength through Joy organized regular day trips to Rothenburg from all across the Reich. This initiative was staunchly supported by Rothenburg's citizenry – many of whom were sympathetic to National Socialism – both for its perceived economic benefits and because Rothenburg was hailed as "the most German of German towns". In October 1938 Rothenburg expelled its Jewish citizens, much to the approval of Nazis and their supporters across Germany.[2] "
    Why III?

In light of their admiration for Rothenburg, perhaps the "III" is a reference to the Third Riech, instead of some cockamanie reference to the 3% of the population who was armed in 1776, or the three founding documents, as they claim here.

What is / Who are the III?

At no time during the American Revolution did Colonial forces in the field rise to more than 3% of the population.

John Parker was the original III Patriot when he took to the Green in Lexington on April 19, 1775 to stand against tyranny. Many modern III Patriots believe that defending the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and restoring the ideals of these Founding Documents to prominence in America, is our sacred duty.

Really?  I mean think about it... would you name your new armed civilization after an 18th century gun ownership statistic, or a mighty military empire of the 20th century?

The person or persons who put this together are conveying their admiration and alignment with the Third Reich.

    •  they do realize don't they... (8+ / 0-)

that clustering themselves all together on a mountaintop makes is much easier and more efficient to take them all out with a single large bomb when government tyranny comes ?

Obviously, the 3% number is said to represent not colonial gun ownership, but percent of the colonial population "in the field" - the absurdity of taking this single debatable statistic as the name for your enterprise remains the same, either way.  Do you really think that the three documents mentioned make any more sense as a reason to select "III", in roman numerals no less?  How about "III" for father son and holy ghost?  Nope, that doesn't seem likely either.   How about the "III" for the Reich that loved Rothenburg ob der Tauber more than any other village on earth?  Now we're talking.
