    very, very different that anything here in the states.  There are openly rightwing and leftwing teams and the fans are organized in a way that they just aren't here in the US.  There was no official Armstrong fan club going around starting fights and threatening people who said Armstrong wasn't clean.  Nor are the riots in various cities in any way organized, they're spontaneous.  I would certainly say that the violence of football here in the states plays a role in these things, but we've had riots in SF twice now when our baseball team won.
