This from Equality on Trial (formerly known as Prop 8 Trial Tracker):

The bill is expected to pass [done!], and could go to the full House floor, where equality advocates in the state feel confident they have the votes they need for passage, later this week.  The bill’s prospects are less certain in the state Senate, where Senate President Teresa Paiva-Weed, who opposes marriage equality, has announced she will allow a committee vote to occur, which she has declined to do in the past.

So much for embracing liberal values, Sen. Paiva-Weed. Is there any pressure being put on the Senate President to bring marriage equality to the floor after it passes in the RI House?

As she's permitting a committee vote, I presume she will also allow a floor vote. At least I hope she does. Perhaps her minimal change in attitude indicates that she realizes her current position is not a winning one. At this point, if I lived in Rhode Island I'd be hoping she gets primaried the next time she runs for her Senate seat.

She is Catholic, and pretty much sticks with Catholic dogma on the issue. But, perhaps she sees the writing on the wall and will allow it to come up for a vote if it passes in committee. It's extremely unlikely that she will vote for the bill, however.

on women's health and reproductive issues as well?
