Yair Lapid, is likely to stick on demanding universal conscription -- eliminating the military exemption for yeshiva students of the ultra-religious.

That was the big issue during the campaign. The ultras cause the big trouble with their settlements, but do not serve in the military.

Shinui went to the mattresses on this one. It has been a left/center issue for years.

We will have to see what Lapid does in discussions with Netanyahu. If Bibi tries to lie on this issue, then he could lose this coalition in days. Lapid is strong enough to make his own center-left government.
