  •  Why you gotta be such a hater? (4+ / 0-)

It's a minor point & the diarist has fixed it.  Chill, dude.

Asking for clarification of sloppy writing is now a DKos hate crime?  And no, the diarist has not fixed it, despite being advised early on to do so by another commenter.

My objection was to the diarist's imperious dismissal of my legitimate question.

Sorry to have given you the vapors, but as your handle implies, you must be freaked out quite easily.

It is not your request for clarification, but rather your tone and choice of words that I found inappropriate.  As you have just reinforced with your comment to me.

A year or two ago, there was a diary about HRC. I thought it was about Hillary Rodham Clinton. It was about Human Rights Campaign. I read the whole thing thinking that Hillary Clinton was advocating a repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell (which I thought was a good idea, but (damn it!) the author should make clear what the initials or acronym means).

People who write diaries should spell out who and what they're talking about. Yes, if you're the author, you're close to the issue. But think about the readers, for god's sake. JPL could be the Jacksonville Public Library. Or the Jewish Palestinian League. When I read this diary, I was pretty sure it was the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, but I wasn't sure.

You are right. It's sloppy writing. And the diarist should have edited it to fix it at the beginning of the diary. Not as an update at the end of the diary.

And that's my opinion. You didn't deserve to be HR'd.

Seems like the Hurt Fee-fees Police are amok here lately, particularly the cowardly ones who down-rate you and run away (yes, I'm looking at you milton333 and GoGoGoEverton).

Asking diarists to explain their ambiguities is now considered a gross insult.

For instance, I recently retired from my job at DDS, and I can guarantee that everyone who ever worked at DDS knows that DDS stands for Department on Disability Services, but no-one else does.

          O tempora, o mores!
