  •  And he humiliated Merkley, who ... (8+ / 0-)

    ... hardly deserved that.

    •  I hope that doesn't stop Merkeley (6+ / 0-)

from continuing to dissent.  I don't know the longer term effects -- whether Reid is the type of guy to make Merkeley pay for this for a long time, but what Merkeley did is exactly what we need.  We need people in the Senate to name names so that we at least know who to put pressure on and yes, who to blame for these betrayals.

If Harry Reid can constantly cover for Senators who do serious damage, that is not a noble thing to do.  It's an insider plutocratic club thing to do.  It's a betrayal and a cover up of other betrayals.

Barbara Boxer? WTF? Seriously WTF?  She plays herself off as the great progressive.  She's no f'ing progressive if she would sabotage filibuster reform. She's a phony and part of the problem, not part of the solution.

      •  It's particularly pathetic with Boxer & Feinstein. (0+ / 0-)

They sit in the safest of safe seats. They never have to really worry about a Republican challenger. Yet they still cave when it matters the most.
