    ... that I'd applaud Reid if anything meaningful got done on this. And I won't back away from that. Yay Harry.

    The real problem all along has been the intransigence of certain Democrats that like having a dysfunctional senate. I'm willing to take what I can get here, but if our caucus had more Merkleys and fewer Levins, we wouldn't have to accept piecemeal bargains like this all the time.

    Kudos, Chris, for mobilizing everyone you could. Better to gain a little yardage than sit around running out the clock looking for a touchdown. Ignore the grumblers; many of them are of the armchair variety.
