and it is not because they (or the Republicans for that matter) are stupid.  You do not get to be a congressman or a senator if you are not willing to take risks or if you are not fairly intelligent.

Have any of you ever been pulled over by a police officer and acted stupid to try to get out of a ticket?  "I'm sorry officer, I didn't realize this was a school zone...  I didn't know my headlight was out... Was I really doing 70 in a 55?"  How about when you were a kid.  Did you ever give an excuse for doing or not doing something you did or didn't want to do by blaming someone else?  "I'm sorry Mom but the teacher said I had to watch this TV show tonight at 10 o'clock", "I would have done my homework but my Mom said I had to do chores", "I didn't want to go down to the creek like you told me not to but Billy had my shoes and wouldn't give them back".

It amazes me that with so much stupidity and cowardice going on in congress, they always seem to increase the wealth for the rich, destroy labor rights, manage to fund unnecessary wars and help decrease taxes for corporations across the country.  They always seem to screw up exactly the way a certain small percentage of Americans want them to and it just so happens that that same small percentage donates an awful lot of money to campaigns.  They also happen to be a member of that same small percentage who happen to benefit from their cowerdice and stupidity as are all of their family and friends not to mention future employers. And have you noticed, no matter how stupid of an error or how badly they get bullied, they never seem to learn from their mistakes?

There is a saying that there are no accidents in advertising meaning no matter how it looks, they meant to do that.  I believe the same thing is true in politics.  There are no accidents.  What ever bill comes out of congress and is signed by the president is exactly what they wanted despite any theatrics to the contrary.

"Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not YET sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favour..."
