    otherwise what's the point of being a leader. It's obvious he did not turn the screws on anyone, yet he had plenty of opprobrium for Senator Merkel for having named names in a conference call. That should tell people everything they need to know. The one documented case of Reid using his authority to deal with this issue turns out to be yet another example of hippie-punching. Speaking only for myself, I'm not satisfied with the shit-sandwich my tax dollars are buying and this failure of leadership should result in his instant removal. Sadly we all know that won't be the case. The real disappointment here is the President who seems very blithely to have lost any hope of passing anything meaningful. He is subscribing, whether intentionally or not, to an un-Constitutional 60-vote threshold for passing legislation, and it's un-American.
