    We all accumulate stories over the years...sometimes I sit back and go "was I nuts?"  heh... I once had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Cambodia in the morning, and then spent the afternoon talking a recently fired employee out of his AK after he shot up our clinic....surreal...

    And you are right...you meet someone who comes across as a desk bound bureaucrat, relatively timid and quiet, and later learn that he single-handedly stood down an armed gang in Bosnia and saved a busload of Muslims trying to escape the slaughter....it can be a real wake-up call.

    OT - we were up in Bangkok last week for a couple of days to get our retirement income affidavits notarized...thought about giving to a heads-up to grab a meal, but we just weren't there long enough....soon, I promise...
