    depends on the filmmakers' representation and viewer reception (as indicated in my post). Clearly, she's a heroine to Bigelow and Boal, albeit with flaws and self-doubt--the ending makes this clear. In the case of the real agent(s), she would probably be considered a hero to some, not to others, based on ideology alone. This is a Rashomon situation--you see what your politics tell you to see. It's spycraft, after all. By definition, it treads and often crosses a very narrow moral line. Was the hunt for Bin Laden worth it? That's a question the film asks and leaves up to us.
