  •  And baffling... (24+ / 0-)
The fact that the only Con Law prof ever to become elected president effectively ratified this dangerous development is the most distressing point of all.
All the unconstitutional legislation that took away our rights should have been repealed in the first 30 days of the first inauguration.  < insert my usual list of unconstitutional laws here >  That they were not repealed speaks volumes about how far to the dark side Obama has gone, accompanied by a great many congressional "leaders" who are just as paranoid as Dumbya and Dickie.

Instead, all these unconstitutional laws were extended - that takes congressional collusion - the illegal and unconstitutional wars and drone bombings continue, and whistleblowers who should be protected by the law are being prosecuted for doing good deeds (and getting truth "out there" for people to be fully informed about nefarious programs and fraud and waste is - IMHO - a good thing.  Would that we had many more like these individuals!

Dropping charges and then re-filing and including the same charges is sheer stupidity.  What are they running at DoJ with the help of these unconstitutional laws that have taken away our rights?  A clown college?  No one seems to know what the hell they are doing.

Then there's the pile-on with the War on Women bills introduced in various states.  I don't dare ask "What asinine thing will they come up with next?"  It will be worse than the last.

Seriously.  When will this big stinking pile of horse droppings be high enough for the general populace to notice?  So far, all I'm seeing is people more interested in celebrity trivia than serious issues that desperately need to be addressed.

    Oooooooh..., Shiny Thing!

    •  It makes you question where the power really is (5+ / 0-)

because it doesn't seem to be in the Executive or Legislative branches. Despite the election, they seem to bow to the power like trees in a heavy wind. And we're left with the feeling that the election was a farce soon forgotten.

The truth is we are tortured by the truth.

    •  But they won't prosecutes thieving bankers! (9+ / 0-)

Yep, they'll go after whistle blowers with a vengeance, and then appoint the same criminals that caused the banking collapse to jobs where they guard the henhouse.

I want to see the thieves that stole my IRA in jail, dammit.  And I want to see whistle blowers commended by DOJ, as they prosecute criminals who torture.

Not the change I voted for, damn sure.
