    Major outfits like Cabella's or even Wal-Mart have a way around this.   You can already buy on-line and have your purchase shipped to the local store usually for free.  For guns they could accept your credit card information over the Internet but not actually bill the card until you pick up your weapon of choice.  

    There are of course two ways of looking at this.  Pro:  You have to show up and go though the your states background check and other legal requirements in person which may or may not be useful depending on how weak the law is.  Con: It tilts the whole merchandising field toward the giants even further.  Putting small business' out of business isn't generally a good thing.  Personally if we continue to sell guns, and we will, I would not trust Wal-Mart to look out for my right-to-life any more than a local gun dealer.
