    •  When you say "cotton" do you mean (5+ / 0-)

      Regular cotton like you would use for pillowcases or shirts?  or could it be cotton flannel?  Because you can find all kinds of plaids in cotton flannel and its cozy and soft without being heavy like wool.  I love my flannel shirts and pjs on cold days.  I have 1 set of flannel sheets that I love for sick days.  Could you find that plaid in a flannel and use that for a quilt?  I have no idea - I have a couple of quilts that I love, but they are not as beautiful or as intricate as the ones I see here.

        What I'm looking for would be smooth, though. It would just be a few patches from a large bed quilt, and everything else will be smooth cotton. Thanks.
