  •  It's not the humidity - It's the heat (0+ / 0-)

It's brain-bakingly hot "south of Phoenix."

Little wonder the voters elected a hateful random gibberish generator. Living in an oven will do that to you. I'm just surprised he can still dress himself and doesn't spew his nonsense naked while sitting on a cactus.

Why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to #&@$ in the first place? - George Carlin

    •  Phoenix is actually the hottest city, (2+ / 0-)

more or less. I live far further south, only 8 miles north of the border in fact, and we never break 105 in the hot months. Of course, I do live over 4000' up in the high desert, so that's the real reason we don't get so hot. Tucson doesn't get as hot as Phoenix either, so 'going south and getting hotter' doesn't really work so well.

Tell you what: Baja Arizona looks better and better every day. We make a deal with Texas: Austin gets to join B.A., and they get Maricopa and Pinal counties. Deal?

How about we just slap a new label on the Capitol building? "Arizona Institute for the Insane" comes to mind, and frankly they probably wouldn't notice...

      •  What about Graham County? (0+ / 0-)

And, by the by, how is Mark Dannels, professional bully, working out as Cochise County Sheriff?

        •  Well, G.C. could be donated as well. (0+ / 0-)

We'd have to make sure the tribes get to opt out of the transfer. They probably don't want to be any part of any Texas Republic all that much.

Haven't heard much about Dannels, yet. Haven't heard of much of anything emanating from the CCSO, but given time, something will probably happen. Heck, even some of the 2nd Amendment types around here were against him, and that damn county Republican party 'choice' really FUBAR'ed the election. I've not been down here long enough to know much about the back story with him, but simply based on his picture alone, I don't trust him.

used to be a detective with the CCSO.
