  •  I attended Junior and Senior High School (5+ / 0-)

    in Texas and graduated in 1965. And, I received a very good science education. So it really saddens me to see how things have changed. My science teachers, Mr Clifton, Perkins, and Turner--yes I still remember their names-- must be spinning in their graves.

    The only trouble with retirement is...I never get a day off!

      TX graduate. Went to Texas Tech and Southwestern Seminary. At no time in that process did anyone have their nose out of joint about science.  Nobody.

      The Draft? Yep. The Vietnam War? Oh yeah!  Science? Sorry. you might as well try to stir up a fight against breathing.

      Evolution was no more of an of issue when it was discussed in my 7th grade science class than was the word Monday.

      Psssst. Do you think the village idiots running the show now know how attempting what they are trying has the real possibility of blowing up in their face?

      "Stay away from those girlie magazines at the news stand." Yeah, right.

      Those asshats have a hard rain coming.
