    against science has been an oft used theme of SF writers.  As in the imagining of technology and its future, writers have accurately forecast: atomic power, night baseball, submarines, spacecraft, TV, personal wireless communicators....etc.  
    This particular subterfuge of the brothers Koch and their ilk has also been explored by the writers of SF – none of scenarios they imaged envisioned a pleasant world for the rank and file human being – they are the meat of the, dystrophian society, SF novel.   I am amazed (and a bit frightened) so many of those novels are developing in real world and real time.
