  •  Rachel Maddow had an interesting take on this (4+ / 0-)

She pointed out how this scheme is collapsing everywhere else (it's dead in VA and FL; PA and OH are backing off, etc.), but that MI might be the one state that actual makes a serious push for it, given the state GOP's recent track record. While personally I don't think it'll go very far there either (the state GOP rammed through the right to work bill during the lame duck session because they knew they wouldn't have the votes come January; I doubt they'd have anywhere near the votes for this either), I wouldn't be on them trying it.

I'm also starting to think Synder's not going to run for reelection. He wouldn't be so hellbent on destroying his popular standing if he was planning on running again. Hell, even Rick Scott is trying desperately to make nice.

but my connection to dailykos died once during the writing of this diary and I decided to post instead of writing more.

She's one of the inspirations for this diary, though.

    •  Jase Bolger is pushing it hard. He's claiming (0+ / 0-)

this is how the vote was supposed to go until the mid 1800s. "It's more representative" he claims.
