  •  Individual shareholder revolt would be pointless. (0+ / 0-)

    HUGE blocks (millions) of shares are owned by HUGE entities (including pension funds).  I seriously doubt that any individual activity would even register as a blip on the radar.

      in my case, this is true. OTOH, organizing on this issue would not be a waste of time. get the blocks together, including the unions or whomever own the pension funds.

        and vote in accordance with whatever actions they believe will earn them the most money.  They have a fiduciary responsibility to do so.
