    apprehending "Aliens" and placing them in detention facilities owned by private companies - such as CCA and Geo Group - they have those bases covered as well.

    Now ICE has given permission for these companies to use immigrant detainees as a "voluntary" work force in kitchens, laundries, landscaping and grounds and construction work to reduce idleness...with the side effect that the companies have to hire fewer private sector workers to perform those duties.  Immigrant workers receive less than UNICOR or other workers.  So they work for less in prison, similar to the wage disparity in the private sector.
