    in regards to animals, there will have to be a huge reduction in the eating of animals.  There's no way we can keep up our current levels of consumption and raise them in a carbon neutral way.  Or companies will just clear other land to use for cattle grazing, like they've been doing for centuries, and that leads to other problems.  Meat might still be around, but it's going to be a tiny part of people's diet.

      further in the replies. Matching Mole was explaining how even deer only produce meat from 10% of the food they eat.

      Then again a huge reduction in meat isn't that horrid. I eat that way in Asia. It makes stronger tasting meat taste better.
