  •  My church split (5+ / 0-)

I remember my church, the only one I had ever attended, split when I was 13.  It was at the Wednesday business meeting, and all I remember was my mother bursting into tears and leaving the sanctuary, weeping.  (What was the split over? Who cares.  It was more politics than religion, and ended with members of the church who hadn't been to a sermon in years coming in to skew the vote on...stuff).

But coming out of that we found another church (20 miles away; we drove past at least 15 churches to get to this one) that was a good, solid, positive influence on my life for several years.

Visit a few.  Find something that will feed both your children and yourself. They are out there, even if you have to drive a couple miles to find it.

Minority rights should never be subject to majority vote.
