    "Strákarnir okkar" and "stelparnir okkar" ("our boys" and "our girls", respectively).  They're sort of a national pride, including the men's team having taken the silver in the Olympics in 2008 (and came within a hair of medalling in 2012), making Iceland easily the smallest country to medal in a team event in the history of the Olympics.  It's amazing to watch them win against nations that are not only orders of magnitude bigger, but also where handball is just as popular (the other Nordics, eastern Europe, etc).
