I kept getting CERTIFIED birth certificates as officially issued by the government (and fee for which paid for my me) and the WI DVM kept rejecting them and telling me to get a CERTIFIED copy. I would point to the word "CERTIFIED" on my copy and they would say that didn't count.

Because my issuing government was the Province of Ontario and what is CERTIFIED to one government might not be CERTIFIED to another.

But no, this shit won't cause anyone any problems.

Good luck to both of us.

certificate of "live birth" is not a birth certificate nonsense.  Sorry about that.  I'll have an easier time since I was born in this state.

      Good luck.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

Tx used to require all "foreign " documents (including other States) be exemplified. The person issuing the document must have an affidavit proving they are authorized to issue it. Like the district clerk certifying a copy of the divorce decree has another clerk certifying he /she is the district clerk.

The WI DMV just kept saying "Certified copy" and I kept checking "Certified copy" on the application form which I would then mail with $22 Canadian up north. Fortunately that was pre-GW Bush so the American dollar was worth more than the Canadian dollar. Ahh, those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end.
