  •  Sen. Brown's office did what little they thought (15+ / 0-)

they could. That wasn't much compared to other Senate Veterans case workers with whom I have worked.

Those who fought the war in Afghanistan won it. Get them out of Afghanistan NOW . . . It's long past time. Those who want to wage the next war in Afghanistan are condemned to lose it.

    •  Keep pushing, call Brown's office again (13+ / 0-)

Surely there is something more they can do. This is their job.

It's a shame Rep. Dennis Kucinich is retired now, his office was spectacular on these kinds of problems.  A big loss for northeast Ohio.

Call Sherrod's office again and see if they can take another whack at it.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

    •  Sen. Brown, etal (12+ / 0-)

Is Tom talking to the DC folks or the staff in the Cleveland office? The Cleveland staff is pretty plugged in to what individuals need and are willing to help. They're sort of familiar with me (wonder how that happened) and I'd be happy to begin a dialog with them if Tom feels it would be helpful. If for no other reason, maybe we can connect the Cleveland folks with those other more effective Senate veterans caseworkers who can show them a few new tricks for lack of a better term. They might do better if they know better.

Also, his zip code +4 will tell him who his Rep is. When they eliminated Kucinich's seat we were absorbed into 3 other districts. Marcy Kaptur is now my Rep and as I recall Daily Kos has been historically quite favorable to her.  I have not contacted her office for anything yet but would be more than happy to begin with this conversation. We're sort of the "mysterious" far East of her district and she's going to need to show us she's just as involved with us as she has been in NW Ohio. If nothing else, I can at least find out who's who and give you the names and numbers.

Tom could also be in either Marsha Fudge (D) or Jim Renancci (R)'s district.

If Tom is interested in selling his artwork I can point him in a few directions for some very nice street/arts fairs and shows that attract higher dollar spenders.

As for my personal health issue, I don't discuss it any longer with anyone not paid a good deal of money to listen. My world works better that way. 'nuf said.

Please know I am sincere in this offer. If all I can do is pick up the phone and gather names I am more than willing to do that.

      Peace.
