    because this is definitely worthy of discussion.

    But I'm not so sure it'll work out this way. In the battle between Republicans and Obama, it's still easier for the Republicans to come out on top than it is for Obama: It's always harder to build than it is to obstruct. As long as the Republicans have the ability to say "no", they will often be the ones who appear to come out on top.

    Let us all have the strength to see the humanity in our enemies, and the courage to let them see the humanity in ourselves.

      The problem for Republicans is that what they continuously say "No" to is what majorities of Americans, often overwhelming majorities of Americans, want to see done.   Sure, to their diminishing base they look "golden," but the rest of America shakes its head at them.  Add up all the "No's", look at their implications, and you get an idea why the Republican brand is in huge trouble with the American people, and it is getting worse.
