    years.
Second, those new employed will create lots of jobs, according to economists.
They will buy houses and cars and shop and work.
They will pay into the system for our retirement.
Right now there aren't enough workers pating into the retirement system.

    •  Over 6 million Americans are unemployed (0+ / 0-)

We've been in a recession since mid-2008, fell off the cliff in January 2009.

We still haven't recovered.  At the current rate of recovery, we won't get back to 2008 job levels until 2020.

So, yes, adding more unemployed workers to  the mix will make the recession last years longer.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

and people who are unemployed can't buy cars, or shop. They also are unable to pay into retirement, unfortunately.

We need a faster economic recover and job creation to full employment status before we consider bringing in more unemployed people.
